What is 15sof.com?
Playing off the Andy Warhol famous cliche "Everyone gets 15 minutes of fame in their lives", except we believe "15 Seconds of Fame is Enough"! 15sof captures the compelling nature of America's most popular contest shows like American Idol by having voters determine the contest winners and combines the variety of categories of User Generated Content like YouTube. In addition to uploading to YouTube, contestants can also enter their content to 15SOF for a chance at cash prizes. Distinguishably different from American Idol and YouTube each entry is kept to 15 seconds, keeping it fast paced and compelling!

A. Is watching and voting free?
Of course! Our users have spent hours and sometimes weeks creating and honing their talents for you to see. Watch and vote on them all. If you join our site, we even offer prizes for those who vote and comment the most!
B. Does it cost to upload an Audition?
Uploading your audition is completely free. We offer you a free chance at fame and prizes.
Do I need to Join?
If you want to upload an audition or want to be eligible for voter prizes you will need to join. No sweat, like everything we do, it should take about 15 seconds! Â Easy! Be careful when you sign up because your username (nickname) is permanent and we use your email address to tell you if you won.
How do I create and edit my profile?
After you Join and you log in, in the upper left hand corner, click on your user name. Then click on "Edit your Profile". Here you can upload your picture or if you're shy, upload an image you want as your avatar and change four simple preferences.
Can I enter videos and images?
Yes! Talent isn't just video, it can be any image which fits into one of our ever growing contest categories. We made it as easy as possible for you. You can even upload video and image auditions on the same page.
What is the ideal size of my audition upload?
For Videos, remember we only want your best, so no matter how long your audition, we only will show 15 seconds. You can also set when you’d like your 15 second video to start by putting a start time under the choose file option. We accept virtually every type of format and the list is on the upload page. See the image above.
For Images, the maximum upload size is 5MB per image file. Images should be at least 440px in width and 326px in height for the best display.
How do I upload my auditions?
Once you are logged in, click either the big red button on the right hand side of the page or under your avatar, you can use that link as well.
How do I enter a contest?
Once you have uploaded your audition, you will see the upload and you can edit the title and choose the contest(s) which you feel has the best chance to win. Be careful, once you have picked your contest, your category and contest cannot be changed.
How much does it cost to upload an audition?
Absolutely nothing, and if you win you actually get money, fame, and prizes!
How is the winner determined?
By the voters! Share your audition everywhere you can. We offer virtual every tool we know of so you can tell all of your friends and fans to vote for you! For additional rules, be sure to read the Terms and Conditions posted on the site.
How much is the prize?
Every contest may have a different prize amount. Each contest prize is clearly posted on the contest page so enter often! We plan on increasing the prize amounts each month as we grow. So help us grow and so we can increase the prizes you can win!
How will I be paid?
Winners will be paid or receive their prize within 6 weeks of the contest ending via your email address, so be sure it is correct. Failure to give us the correct email address at the time of joining will forfeit your prize. See the "Terms and Conditions" for details.
How many times can I enter a single contest?
You can enter a contest as often as you like. However, each audition needs to be unique (so do not enter the same audition more than once in the same contest). You can re-enter any audition over and over again as many times as possible, just not in the same contest in the same day.
How silly or goofy can my audition be?
We want to see how creative you can get! Just remember this is like being on a show such as American Idol which kids watch, so keep it clean. For more details, please read the Contest rules and our "Terms and Conditions".
Can children appear in the audition?
Yes, but only if their parents or guardians give the appropriate consent. Please note, every individual who appears in your audition must agree to the "Terms and Conditions" which includes the appropriate waiver and/or have the permission of their parents or guardians.
Why doesn't my audition appear instantly in a contest?
We're likely reviewing your audition to ensure it meets all of the requirements, so it may take up to an hour to be approved; while your audition is being approved you are still able to view it but will not be able to vote on it until it is approved. If you have additional questions, then please contact us.
When do Contests begin and end?
The time remaining in each contest is noted on the contest page to the left of the UPLOAD button. See the image below. You can also see how much time is left in the contest while viewing any entry in a contest. All contest start and finish times are United States, Pacific Time.
How can I tell everyone?
First, log in, click on edit your profile, and then click on "My Clips".
Second, click on your clip you want to share.
Third, choose the way you want to share it. Use our "Share" button, our "Email this" button or even look lower and the code to embed it on your homepage code is there. Just copy and paste! That easy!
How many times can I vote?
You can watch as many auditions as you like and vote for each one. To vote, click on a star. Remember on the 1-10 scale, 10 is the very best!
How many times can I vote for myself?
You can vote for yourself only ONCE in each contest in one hour (and yes we check).
How can I change my password and email?
Log In, click on your profile name and choose "Edit Profile". Then at the bottom right corner you are able to change your password.
How do I report an inappropriate audition?
When viewing an audition, on the right hand side, under "Share", the fourth link down is a link that says, "Report as Inappropriate".
How do I make a claim of copyright infringement?
See the "Terms & Conditions" posted at the bottom of each page of our site. There you will find the appropriate contact information so we can investigate the matter. We vigorously support copyright holders and want to be notified of violations which we take seriously.
How do I email 15 Seconds of Fame Inc.?
See the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of each page. Complete the form and send it. We strive to answer all emails within a reasonable period of time (usually under 3 hours), but it depends on how busy we are and the time of day or night.
How do I email Jason and Summer?
See the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of each page. Choose who you want the email to reach and send it. Each of them work a lot, but we will make sure they receive it the same day. Their response times are up to them, but we do have some influence on them and try to have them answer all emails within a reasonable period of time (usually the same day).
Who can I contact with suggestions and questions?

What are "My Fame" Awards?
When you become a member and create a free profile, your Awards appear under your Picture. These are our own achievement Awards which we developed as a way for everyone to track and share their participation and achievements with other users on the site. Plus, whenever we want to give way prizes to our members this is how we determine who voted the most, who voted for the most winning auditions and just about every other type of activity on the site.
Where can I find "My Fame" Awards?
Your points are displayed in your User Profile for all to see. They are updated every few minutes.
How do I earn Fame Awards?
It really is very simple. For every vote you win 1 Award point. For every Contest you win, you earn 25 Award points. "My Fame" Points and Awards are given to users for participating in various activities and entering/winning contests on 15sof.com. Each activity gives Fame Points for participation, with the number of Fame Points varying depending on activity. Each time the user participates in an activity, they gain Fame Points based on that activity and win the appropriate award based on the Award Level scale.
What are the "My Award" levels & which is the highest?
Each Fame Award has different levels (Standard, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum). The Award Levels are gained based on a standardized Fame Point scale that the user has to achieve in each category:
Standard: 1 point
Bronze: 100 points
Silver: 250 points
Gold: 500 points
Platinum: 1000 points
For Example: Voting = 1 Fame Point. Users achieve the Standard Award level at 1 point, so they are given the Standard Voting Award after their first vote. To achieve a Bronze Voting Award, they will need to vote 100 times (1 point per vote / 100 points to achieve Bronze status).
